This bronze statue by José Puche was dedicated on Plaza de la Reina on November 23, 1998. On its pedestal it has an inscription that says: La Paz y la Concordia son hijas de la razon y de la mente. (Peace and Concord are daughters of reason and mind.)
The nude woman holds a cloth aloft from which emerges several doves. Although not marked on the statue, this was intended to be a memorial to the victims of terrorism.
