This sculpture by Ronald Rae is in the Town Park. It was commissioned by Glenrothes Development Corporation to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the New Town.
Rae based his sculpture on the 1987 King’s Cross London tube disaster after seeing the fireman carry the victims to safety, depicting the community spirit of the town. The sculpture was unveiled by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1988.
